In keeping with its Ayurveda, Yoga and Wellness concept, Shreyas Retreat offers a variety of selected courses such as hatha & ashtanga yoga, meditation and mouna, detox cures, silent retreats, as well as numerous spa treatments. The cuisine is based on Ayurvedic principles and meals served are vegetarian designed to purify and regenerate at the same time.

With the spa retreat having just 12 rooms on offer, a personalized experience is a given. The tented lodgings are spaciously distributed and offer a lot of privacy. The muted colours borrowed from its immediate surroundings add an extra element of total relaxation. One can simply while away the time over a good book and soak in the blissful atmosphere.

  • Why we love it

There is a genuine interest in taking care of guests and one often feels like visiting a dear old friend and being thoroughly cared for. Their excellent yoga classes cater to every level and leaves one feeling both mentally and physically strong. And because it is such a joy to just wander through its beautiful parks.

  • What you must not miss

Do something meaningful and be a part of their community service. Devote half a day to planting seedlings in the garden, cutting vegetables for the kitchen and also bringing hot meals to the children of a nearby orphanage and share in their simple delight.

Ladakh – A trip beyond expectations

When one touches down on this ancient landscape, one cannot help but experience a surreal feeling. Ladakh’s moonlike topography is spectacularly beautiful and if not for the colorful flutter of prayer flags and whitewashed stupas, one might as well be on another planet. This Buddhist stronghold is perhaps a likeness of what the early Tibet would have looked like. PRANA provides a window to be an intimate part of the lives of the monks and partake in the early morning prayer session in a 15th century monastery; marvel at the astonishing mountain scenery, explore the historic sands of the Nubra Valley on the back of a camel and bed in for the night in luxury tents, delight in the fascinating centuries-old culture of the Ladakhi people and sample the unique rituals that this secluded part of the world has to offer.
