Ladakh – A trip beyond expectations

When one touches down on this ancient landscape, one cannot help but experience a surreal feeling. Ladakh’s moonlike topography is spectacularly beautiful and if not for the colorful flutter of prayer flags and whitewashed stupas, one might as well be on another planet. This Buddhist stronghold is perhaps a likeness of what the early Tibet would have looked like. PRANA provides a window to be an intimate part of the lives of the monks and partake in the early morning prayer session in a 15th century monastery; marvel at the astonishing mountain scenery, explore the historic sands of the Nubra Valley on the back of a camel and bed in for the night in luxury tents, delight in the fascinating centuries-old culture of the Ladakhi people and sample the unique rituals that this secluded part of the world has to offer.
